Russia Fines Google $6.8 Million For Anti Trust Over Android

Russian regulators have fined Google $6.8 million relating to anti trust over their Android OS. Russian authorities said that year that Google had abused its position with its Android OS.

Google has now said that they have received a formal notice of the fine from Russia’s Federation Antimonopoly Service.

“We have received notice of the fine from F.A.S. and will analyze closely before deciding our next steps,” Google said in a statement on Thursday.

Google is also facing anti trust investigations in Europe relating to their Android OS and also related to their search.
