f you’ve been crying out for an iPhone with more than 128GB of storage space, the Apple gods might just answer your prayers this year.

According to Chinese website MyDrivers, the upcoming iPhone 7 Plus will come with a whopping 256GB of internal storage on board – who needs microSD cards?

Apple’s latest handsets come with 16GB, 64GB or 128GB of storage space, but it is unclear whether the introduction of a higher-capacity option would spell an end to the base models.

The report also claims that the phablet will feature a 3,100 mAh battery, which should theoretically deliver 12% more power than the iPhone 6S Plus’s 2,750 mAh battery.

The iPhone 7 Plus is expected to arrive alongside the iPhone 7 around September, with other rumoured features including a thinner headphone port, a six-core processor and an OLED display.

Reports also suggest that there will be three new Apple handsets in 2016, with the long-rumoured iPhone 6C tipped to launch ahead of the flagship models.
