Short on space but wanting a cool designer kitchen anyway? That’s the buyer for whom Serbian brand Dsignedby built the Kitch’T. The award-winning all-in-one wooden kitchen island was on display at the Belgrade Furniture Fair last week and featured by Dezeen.

Everything for the creative cook who can work in the same space where dinner is served is built into the Kitch’T. The unit saves space by combining cooking and entertaining functions and was designed to be moved and transported easily. So whether you want to move it away from the wall, put it another room, or have it transported to a new apartment the Kitch’T shouldn’t disappoint.

The movable kitchen slides right under the Dsignedby Table T, which has a metal frame and a Corian countertop. The kitchen unit has no handles on the solid oak doors, which open with a push. All appliances, including a mini-bar sized fridge, are behind the doors. Outlets are on the left and right ends so the unit can be connected to water and electrical power. There’s a phone charger built into the surface in addition to electrical sockets and USB ports.

“An all-in-one piece, the Kitch’T is easy to move from apartment to apartment, and is easily adaptable according to your needs,” according to the design group. “As everything is fitted beneath the worktop, it eliminates the need for upper cabinet space.”

Because the Kitch’T serves as a social gathering spot, the cooking unit and industrial style water faucet are on one side, opening up the remaining space around and on top for people to sit and chill.

“As young people are often short on space in their homes, we wanted to design something that would provide them with an area that is not only functional, but also where they can gather with their friends,” according to the brand.
